General
Venus, planet of love and desire won’t return to your sign until the 19th January and the Sun, not until a day later, on the 20th January. With Jupiter, planet of luck leaving your sign on the 18th January, this gives you a chance to focus on the last few days of your Jupiter return, without having to divide your attention. Jupiter will leave your sign on the 18th January armed with all the dreams and intentions that will keep you motivated for the next decade, as the foundation year of a 12 year Jupiter cycle ends and the process of turning dreams into reality begins. It’s on the 18th January that Jupiter moves into your income sector, making 2010 an extremely lucky year for money, in contrast to the 2009’s financial challenges. There are two Full Moons this month, a lunar eclipse in your work sector on New Year’s Day and a Blue Moon in your relationship sector on the 30th January. At the start of the month Mars is not only in retrograde motion in your relationship sector but has put a lot of things on hold. That will change as the month progresses, with things likely to come to a head during the Full Moon on the 30th January or in the 3 days leading up to it.
Love
Mars, planet of passion spends his first full month in retrograde motion in your relationship sector, but already he’s starting to gain some movement, proving that you can’t keep a good planet down for long. He’ll remain in retrograde motion until the 11th March, so while he’s once again stirring things up, the things he’s stirring up are more likely to be coming from past events or from things that have been put on hold over Christmas. He is now on a mission to resolve the past, fight against the things that need to be conquered and for the things that need to be regained. He will become a lot feistier towards the end of the month, with a 3 day period between the 27th and 30th January likely to see a lot of things come to a head, with a breakthrough likely, especially around the time of a Full Moon in your relationship sector on the 30th January. By then Venus, planet of love will be back in your sign, having returned on the 19th January. It’s from then the past and the future collide and the battle begins to either find a compromise or to see which one wins.
Money
When the tide turns it really turns, for as you say goodbye to 2009, a year that was without a doubt one of your most challenging financial years on record, you're saying hello to 2010, one of your most opportune financial years on record. It’s on the 18th January that Jupiter, planet of luck moves into your income sector, joining forces with Uranus and straight away supporting the planet that endured such a hard time from Saturn in 2009. Jupiter’s arrival in your income sector kicks off your luckiest and most expansive income year in over a decade, but as this is the first time Jupiter and Uranus have met up here since 1928, I think it will be a lot more significant than that. There is a real sense of urgency on the income front that goes beyond a need to make up for last year’s challenges. It’s the opportunities that Jupiter opens the door to this month, that kick off a golden period that extends out to the 6th June. Jupiter’s advice from Day 1 is that ‘if you snooze you lose’, reminding you that no advantage is a good one unless you use it.
Business
While you moved into the closing days of 2009 a lot more aware of your bottom lines, as far as your work situation was concerned, aware of a need to move on from a situation you’ve outgrown or has served its purpose, it is so far down your priority list that it’s something you may get around to, at some point in 2010. It seems that fate has other plans, with those things that were on your ‘one day’ list jumping the queue, becoming the very first things that are in your face from Day 1 of 2010. Within the first few hours of 2010 and for most before your feet have touched the ground for the first time this year, a lunar eclipse falls in your work sector. With no planets in your work sector, but with the South Node setting new bottom lines since last August, feelings and resolutions are likely to come from out of nowhere and then subside. By as early as the 2nd January the Moon will be gone, but like a bell that can’t be unrung the wake up call and the message have been delivered and there’s no going back. With huge income forces dominating January and the first half of February, the door is open to some unexpected work developments, with the genie now out of the bottle.
