Monthly Love Horoscopes - October 2018
The focus will always be on your relationships at this time of year, due to the fact that the Sun will always spend the first three weeks of October in your relationship sector. Every year is going to be different and this year that is definitely the case, but for all the right reasons. Ceres, queen of nurturing is making her first visit to your relationship sector in four years and is spending the whole month digging deeper into what you really want and need from your relationships. There is also a lot less push back, which means a lot less relationship tension. While Venus, planet of love has been and gone, she will return for a rare double dip visit next month, making sure that you get what you want from your relationships. In the meantime, this is a month when the relationship housekeeping takes place and that includes working with Mercury, planet of communication to ensure the communication lines are open. Mercury is only in your relationship sector until the 10th October, making it important to work with him from the get go, making communication a priority. The Sun will continue to keep the spotlight on your relationships until the 23rd October and that requires keeping your eyes open and head out of the sand. The Sun demands that you get real, but whether single, in a relationship or between relationships, you can't turn desires into reality, without getting real. A New Moon on the 10th October is an opportunity for new beginnings, a fresh start and to commit to your relationships, the future and the journey ahead. While the romantic focus is more subtle, trusting your heart will naturally move matters of the heart in the right direction.
It is not until the 24th October that the Sun will have the solar spotlight on your relationships, but there is already something special happening from the get go. This was always going to be the most important month of the year on the relationship front, with Jupiter spending his last full month in your relationship sector. Having returned last October to help raise the bar and build the framework for future relationship growth, Jupiter is getting ready to leave next month and he has nothing but support. You begin the month with Venus, planet of love on board and she is refusing to leave. Instead, Venus will turn retrograde on the 6th October, opening the doors to the past and second chances, while lucky Jupiter is still here. It is four days later that Mercury, planet of communication will return to your relationship sector, beginning a short push to ensure the communication lines are open. Mercury is only here until the 31st October, but as the only planet to align with Jupiter, just before leaving, he is able to connect with a force powerful enough to move mountains. By the time the Sun returns to throw the solar spotlight on your relationships the planets of love, communication and luck will have invested a lot. Usually this is the point in any year when the focus just starts to shift onto your relationships, but this year this is when a journey that began over a year ago, is moving into its final weeks. Whether single, in a relationship or between relationships, this is a month for investing in your relationships, the future and the journey ahead. There will be some light romantic relief, with romantically charged lunar vibes in play from the 6th October to the 8th October.
The Sun will always shine on matters of the heart and all things romantic at this time of year, due to the fact that the Sun will always spend the first three weeks of October in your romantic sector. This year that sunlight is a little more warm and magical, less because of what the Sun is doing and more because of what this highlights. This year matters of the heart are receiving an extra boost, at the same time that there are fewer roadblocks and barriers. While Venus, planet of love left last month, she will turn retrograde on the 6th October, retrograding back into your romantic sector early next month. This creates the promise that the romantic focus will not only continue all this month, but the whole of November and into the early days of December. While Mercury will leave your romantic sector on the 10th October and the Sun on the 24th October, the love gods won't let the spirit of romance go off the boil. That is because Ceres, making her first visit in four weeks, is here all month. In the meantime, the Moon's return on the 10th October will open the door to some of the most romantically charged days of the month. It is a New Moon in the Moon's early hours that turns ordinary romantically charged lunar vibes into an opportunity for new beginnings. While the focus is on matters of the heart and all things romantic all month, it is in the very final hours of the month that something special happens on the relationship front. Mercury, planet of communication's return to your relationship sector on the 31st October is an ordinary event that is set to have extraordinary consequences. Not only is this the start of an exceptionally long visit by Mercury, with lucky Jupiter returning early next month, this is the start a major new relationship journey.
No matter what, with the Sun always returning to your romantic sector in October, this is the month when the love gods will always get around to you. No matter what kind of romantic drought you're in or the dearth of support from the love gods, you know that come October the Sun will return. Except this year there is no romantic drought, no dearth and the love gods have been here all year. The biggest danger when you have a planet like Jupiter spend a year in your romantic sector, is complacency. In his last full month, Jupiter is doing everything he can to make sure that doesn't happen and he has plenty of support. That support kicked in last month when Venus, planet of love returned for what should have been a 24 day visit to your romantic sector. Instead, Venus will turn retrograde on the 6th October and rather than leaving, she is here for the rest of the month. As Jupiter continues to look to the future, Venus will open the doors to the past and second chances. In the last full month of this lucky year for love and for matters of the heart in general, Venus is making sure no stone is left unturned. Mercury, planet of communication will return on the 10th October to give your heart a voice and to put heart and mind on the same page. By the time the Sun returns on the 24th October and the solar spotlight shifts onto matters of the heart, this will reveal an exciting situation. This is also an important month on the relationship front, though the relationship gods are happy to wait in order to let romantic matters go first. It is Pluto's direct turn in your relationship sector on the 1st October that finally turns all your relationship focus onto the present and the future, rather than the past.
On face value all the focus is on your relationships this month, with Mars finally spending his last full month in your relationship sector. Yet there are small pockets of romantic activity that are in fact clues to something special, something that will soon take over everything. To start with it is all about your relationships, with Mars' remarkable journey through your relationship sector at its most powerful point. Mars returned in May for what should have been a six week visit aimed at giving you a chance to shake and spice things up, in order to fight for what you want from your relationships. Instead, Mars spent three months here, before retrograding back out in August. Yet just 29 days later Mars was back, this time back in direct motion and armed with a clear sense of what he's fighting for from the get go. This is Mars' first full month back, but also his last full month here and he's ready to make it count. This time the challenges and roadblocks of the past are gone and in their place is a huge amount of support from the communication gods. While there is planetary activity in your communication sector all month, the most important days are until Mercury, planet of communication leaves on the 10th October. With Mars not leaving your relationship sector until the 16th November and Venus, planet of love back in your communication sector early next month, that support between the communication and relationship gods will continue. In the meantime, pay attention to the romantically charged lunar vibes in play from the 12th October to the 15th October, holding onto a sense of romantic anticipation. While Mercury will return to your romantic sector on the 31st October, it is early next month that your luckiest year for love in over a decade kicks off.
There is something special happening on the relationship front this month, with an opportunity for healing and creating something deeper and a lot more meaningful. When the Sun left Virgo last month, as well as bringing your birthday month to a close, this saw all planetary activity end. That is often not the case, with planetary activity often lingering for weeks and in some cases months. That is important, for without planetary activity in Virgo, there is no pressure on your relationships. The Sun left just days before Chiron, planet of healing retrograded back into your relationship sector. Not only that, Chiron returned to find Venus, planet of love and guardian of your relationships in your communication sector. With both Chiron and Neptune in retrograde motion in your relationship sector, there is a lot of focus on the past and this is something Venus is about to become a lot more involved in. For on the 6th October Venus will turn retrograde herself, bringing a chance to give the past and unsaid words a voice. With Mercury, planet of communication returning to your communication sector on the 10th October, support for your relationships will only continue. In the meantime, while all your relationship focus and some of the communication focus is on the past this month, romantic matters finally turn all their focus onto the future. While Saturn has been in direct motion in your romantic sector since early last month, it is not until the 1st October that Pluto finally turns direct as well. All and all there is a lot to be excited about on both the romantic and relationship fronts.
This is a special month on both the romantic and relationship fronts and what makes it so special is almost the opposite in each case. What makes this such a special month on the romantic front is what is happening, which is having Mars in your romantic sector at this time of year, for the first time in decades. At the same time, what makes this such a special month on the relationship front, is a lack of planetary activity and the stripped back focus this creates. On both fronts, this is a continuation of an ongoing story. Mars returned to your romantic sector in May, for what should have been a six week visit aimed at fuelling your romantic passions and fighting spirit. Instead Mars turned retrograde, extending that visit out to three months before retrograding back out. Last month Mars returned for a rare double dip visit and not due to leave until the 16th November, he's committed to making his last full month count. You've had months of getting to know and understand Mars' passions and fighting spirit, with no excuses and a growing sense of confidence. Meanwhile when Chiron, planet of healing retrograded back out of your relationship sector last month, this left Eris on her own for the first time in eight years. With Uranus retrograding back in next month things will become more active but for now, with Eris on her own and in retrograde motion, this is a chance to get back to basics. Eris has been here since 1926, so is the one planet connecting you to what you want and need from your relationships since birth. Communication is a big deal this month with Mercury, planet of communication starting the month in Libra, but ending the month in your communication sector.
Venus, planet of love is spending the whole month in Scorpio and that's a big deal, for a planet that will usually spend just 24 days here each year. In a 31 day month that is impossible, unless Venus does something out of the ordinary and that is exactly the case. Venus returned early last month and has already been in Scorpio for three weeks by the time you move into the new month. Yet rather than being in her final months in Scorpio, Venus is instead in her final days in direct motion. It is Venus' retrograde turn on the 6th October that not only keeps her here, but will add to a strong sense of romantic nostalgia already in play. For this comes just as dreamy Neptune is spending his last full month and Chiron, planet of healing is spending his first full month back in retrograde motion in your romantic sector. Even without Venus turning retrograde there was going to be a strong sense of romantic nostalgia and an opportunity for healing this month, with Venus able to exploit this. This also has longer range implications. Mars is returning to your romantic sector next month and will stay here for the rest of the year. Because of Venus' retrograde turn and the fact that she is not moving on, you will see out the year, Christmas and the New Year with the planet of love in Scorpio and the planet of passion in your romantic sector. The love gods are conspiring to create a lot of romantic nostalgia this month, but also to lay the groundwork for a romantically charged end to the year. In the meantime, with Uranus in his last full month in your relationship sector before retrograding out next month and Juno retrograding back in on the 24th October, even on the relationship front the focus is on the past.
While there has been continuous planetary activity in your romantic sector since 1926, this has become more low key of late and this month it is being stripped right back, ready for some rebuilding next month. After a Full Moon in your romantic sector late last month and Chiron, planet of healing's departure the next day, things have gone quiet and despite how that sounds, this is a really good thing. For Eris, in your romantic sector since 1926, is spending her first full month on her own in eight years and her last for decades to come. It is the silence this creates that gives you a chance to hear the love god that has been your guardian angel since birth. With Uranus retrograding back in next month and Mars on New Year's Day, this is a chance to regroup. In the meantime, this creates some space for relationship matters, at a time of year when there is rarely any planetary activity on the relationship front. When the Sun left your relationship sector in June, this should have and usually does bring all planetary activity for the year to a close. However, literally in the closing hours of September, both the Moon and Juno, queen of commitment and especially commitment to your relationships returned. The Moon will leave on the 2nd October, but this will ensure you're paying attention from the get go. This is Juno's first visit to your relationship sector in four years, but she is only here for 24 days. Juno will turn retrograde on the 12th October and retrograde back out 12 days later, on the 24th October. This is a very short chance to dip your toe in the water, get a look at what you want and need from your relationships and then commit to it. And the timing couldn't be better, for you have Mars in your communication sector all month.
To have planetary activity in your romantic sector at this time of year is not the norm. But then the concept of what is normal flew out the window when Uranus, planet of surprise, synchronicity and the unexpected returned to your romantic sector in May, for the first time in eight decades. While this was the start of a journey that will take until 2026 to run its course, Uranus is getting ready to take a break. Uranus is an outer planet and when they return to a new area of your chart this is always a transition phase. In this case Uranus will retrograde back out next month, before returning next March, when he really is here until 2026. However, while Juno left at the end of last month, she will retrograde back in on the 24th October and not leaving until next February, the queen of commitment will keep the romantic flame burning until Uranus returns. While there will be a gap between Juno's departure in February and Uranus' return in March, conveniently this is when you will have Venus, planet of love in Capricorn. The love gods aren't going to drop the ball and they are serious about this new romantic journey and chapter of your life. In the meantime, there is a push this month to make the most of Uranus' last full month and especially to make the most of the first and last month when the focus is all on the past. With the North Node returning to your relationship sector next month this is the start of something special on the relationship front, that will be firmly focused on the future. For now it is all about matters of the heart and the past. The Moon will move through from the 25th October to the 27th October and returning a day after Juno retrogrades back in, these romantically charged lunar vibes will be steeped in romantic nostalgia.
This is not the time of year when you can expect to find planetary activity in your romantic sector, yet during the first 24 days of the month that is exactly what you have. While Juno doesn't have the influence of a full size planet, as the queen of commitment she is not a force you can say no to. Juno only returned to your romantic sector on the 30th September, so is literally in her early hours when you move into the new month. Fortunately, you also start the month with the Moon here as well and therefore with romantically charged lunar vibes in play from the get go. The Moon literally returned just minutes after Juno on the 30th September, creating a situation where moving from September and into October will be like travelling through a wormhole. Until the very final hours of September there was nothing happening on the romantic front and hadn't been since the Sun left in June. Yet you wake up on the 1st October to find romantically charged lunar vibes in play and a new sense of commitment and conviction that has literally kicked in overnight. This is just a short visit by Juno, for she will turn retrograde on the 12th October and will retrograde back out 12 days later, on the 24th October. This is more a taste of things to come, for Juno will not only return in February, but just as Venus is returning to Aquarius. When the love gods offer a 24 day gift, you need to take it. This comes as the North Node is spending its last full month in your relationship sector, which requires nothing more than looking to the future, focused on the journey ahead.
While things are relatively quiet on both the romantic and relationship fronts this month, on both fronts this is important, for different but similar reasons. The Sun and Mercury both left your relationship sector late last month, taking the solar spotlight off your relationships, but in the process bringing three months of planetary activity to a close. This makes this an important month to regroup and to look back over the last three months and to soak in the sense this has left you, of what you want from your relationships and what they need from you. On the relationship front you need that space in order to let things settle and to absorb the influences of the last three months. On the romantic front there is no planetary activity either, but that space is just as important, not for looking back but for looking forward. For on the 7th November the North Node will return to your romantic sector for the first time in 17 years, setting the scene for a series of eclipses over the next 18 months. The North Node is the luckiest force in the solar system behind lucky Jupiter and it brings the elements of luck and fate together. This will open the door to an exciting romantic chapter that will run through to 2020. With a relationship focus having ended last month and a new romantic focus starting next month, October is a buffer month between the two. This also makes the Moon's visits to your romantic and relationship sectors a lot more important. The Moon will make just one visit to your relationship sector, from the 6th October to the 8th October. Coming full circle from last month's New Moon, this is a chance to reflect back and recommit. In the meantime, romantically charged lunar vibes are in effect from the 2nd October to the 4th October and again from the 29th October to the 31st October.
