Monthly Love Horoscopes - July 2020
While July will always bring us into the second half of any year this year, this really will feel like a new energy. Venus, who has been in your communication sector since early April is finally back in direct motion and leaving early next month, is even more determined to ensure the communication lines are open. After six weeks in retrograde motion, Venus has spent enough time giving the past and unsaid words a voice and is once again looking to the future. Venus will continue to give your heart and your relationships a voice but is no longer fixated on the past. This comes as Juno is also now in direct motion in your relationship sector. The other thing that sets July apart is that there is finally some planetary activity on the romantic front. Both Venus and Mercury have been held back by retrograde phases, with Mercury not returning to your romantic sector until August and Venus not returning until September. However, as the Sun has a timetable that he will never deviate from, he will return to your romantic sector on schedule on 22nd July. This is the point in any year when the solar spotlight will move onto matters of the heart and all things romantic. Knowing that Mercury will return next month and Venus the month after, means that what the Sun begins now will have longevity. As this is an important month across the communication, romantic and relationship fronts, the Moon's return to each are important. The Moon will make its last visit to your communication sector before Venus leaves from 16th July to 18th July and its last visit to your relationship sector from 25th July to 27th July. In both cases, the Moon will work with Venus to give your emotional responses and relationships a voice. The Moon will move through your romantic sector from 21st July to 23rd July, with romantically charged lunar vibes in play when the Sun returns on 22nd July.
With no planetary activity in your romantic or relationship sectors, not only are the Moon's visits to each a lot more important, so too is the focus on communication this month. It is not just that having the communication lines open is vital for your relationships but that this is where the planetary activity is focused this month. It is next month that the first planets will reach your romantic sector this year, with the first planet reaching your relationship sector a month later. The Sun will always spend the first three weeks of July in your communication sector and until leaving on 22nd July will not only work to keep the communication lines open but in a real and authentic way. Until he turns direct here on 12th July Mercury, the planet of communication will work alongside the Sun, though focused more on giving the past and unsaid words a voice. The Sun's return last month began on an eclipsing New Moon, with the Moon returning for a second New Moon on 21st July. With Mercury in direct motion by then, this will be the additional push the communication lines need, especially with the Sun leaving the next day. The Moon will make two visits to your relationship sector this month, each time benefiting from the communication support. The Moon will begin the month in your relationship sector and until leaving on 2nd July will draw on Mercury's ability to give your emotional responses, relationships, the past and unsaid words a voice. By the time the Moon comes full circle from 27th July to 29th July, the Sun will be gone and Mercury will be back in direct motion, with the communication lines likely to be flowing a lot more smoothly by then. While the Moon will only make one visit to your romantic sector this month, it is an especially important visit. Moving through from 23rd July to 25th July there is nothing different to these romantically charged lunar vibes than any other visit this year, except this is the Moon's last visit before the most romantically charged months of the year begin next month.
It has been three months since Venus, the planet of love returned to Gemini in early April for what should have been a 24 day visit, designed to update your romantic and relationship desires and expectations for the coming year. However, a six week retrograde phase that began before your birthday month began and extended for several days after it ended, Venus is still here and won't leave until early next month. However, Venus is in her last full month and looking to the future is determined to finish what she came here to achieve. It was Venus' retrograde phase and a nostalgic trip down love's memory lane that has left you with a better sense of what you want from the future. When Venus returned in April the asteroid Juno was already in retrograde motion in your romantic sector and this created even more romantic nostalgia when the planet of love turned retrograde. It was Juno's direct turn 14 days into Venus' retrograde phase that allowed your heart to start looking to the future while old doors were still open. With Juno not leaving until September, she will remain here to support Venus in her last full month in Gemini. It was while Venus was in retrograde motion that the South Node returned to your relationship sector, with a lunar eclipse last month already redefining your relationship needs. Together this is making Venus' job of updating your romantic and relationship desires and expectations for the coming year a lot easier, with the Moon providing the extra edge this month. The Moon will make its last visit to your romantic sector before Venus leaves Gemini from 25th July to 27th July, with romantically charged lunar vibes able to get to the heart of your romantic desires and expectations. The Moon will make two visits to your relationship sector, the first from 2nd July to 4th July and then again from 29th July to 31st July. Each visit will leave you with a better sense of what you want from your relationships and what they need from you.
Even though your birthday month and new solar year is underway there is still a lot of focus on the past this month and that includes on both the romantic and relationship fronts. Jupiter and Pluto are already in retrograde motion in your relationship sector with Saturn retrograding back in on 2nd July. With Mercury, the planet of communication in retrograde motion in Cancer until 12th July, he is on hand to give your relationships, the past and unsaid words a voice. Saturn left your relationship sector in March but is retrograding back in to finish a three year relationship boot camp that began in 2017. While Saturn was gone Jupiter and Pluto, the planets of luck and change have been going back over old ground and with their alignment peaking on 1st July, Saturn returns to find the doors open to the past and second chances. Meanwhile, while Venus, the planet of love turned direct last month she is still in a nostalgic and reflective part of your chart and will be until she leaves and returns to Cancer early next month. Venus is still taking your heart on a nostalgic trip down love's memory lane, while all the relationship focus is also on the past and until 12th July the communication focus as well. A combination of a 31 day month and the timing of the Moon's return to your romantic and relationship sectors early in the month means there will be time for a second visit for each. The Moon will begin the month in your romantic sector and after leaving on 2nd July, will return for a second visit from 27th July to 29th July. The Moon will make its first visit to your relationship sector from 4th July to 6th July, returning on 31st July where it will see out the month. In both cases, there will be a strong connection to the past but it is the Moon's first visit to your relationship sector, while Mercury is still in retrograde motion in Cancer that will offer the best chance to give your emotional responses, relationships, the past and unsaid words a voice.
There should be no planetary activity in your romantic or relationship sectors at this time of year or anything other than the Moon's monthly visits to draw any attention to either. However, there is a chance this month to catch the tail end of Saturn's extraordinary time in your relationship sector while benefiting from having the South Node in your romantic sector all month. Saturn will normally remain in an area of your chart for three years and while that will be the case when he returns in December, it was never meant to be the case when he returned in March. Instead, after seven weeks here Saturn turned retrograde, spent three days stalled and the next seven weeks retracing his steps, before leaving on 2nd July. Saturn never got any further than 02 degrees so barely stuck his head in the door but it was in his first seven weeks that Mars was here, firing things up on the relationship front. This is a practice run ahead of not only Saturn's return in December but Jupiter, the planet of luck and expansion just days later. It has been six decades since Jupiter and Saturn were last in your relationship sector at the same time and it was literally in the Dark Ages that they last aligned here, yet that is exactly what they will do over Christmas. Saturn is here to prepare for some of the most important relationship developments in decades, with the closing days of 2020 and all of 2021 especially powerful. It is the Moon's return to your relationship sector from 6th July to 8th July, just days after Saturn leaves that will bring a chance to check in and start processing the messages and lessons from recent months. Meanwhile, for the most part, the South Node will be a silent player on the romantic front, though last month's eclipsing Full Moon and a total solar eclipse here in December will demonstrate its power. The Moon will move through your romantic sector from 2nd July to 4th July and again from 29th July to 31st July, making these the most romantically charged days of the month.
On both the romantic and relationship fronts the focus is on the past this month and this will only increase when Saturn retrogrades back into your romantic sector on 2nd July, just over three months after leaving. Pluto has been in retrograde motion in your romantic sector since April and Jupiter since May and since then they have been holding the doors open to the past and second chances. It was in April that Jupiter and Pluto, the planets of luck and change aligned here for the first time in our lifetime but they begin the month aligned again, this time in retrograde motion. This will peak on 1st July, the day before Saturn returns and is a chance to embrace missed opportunities and second chances before things become more serious. Jupiter and Pluto are focused on what's in it for you but Saturn will demand that you also take responsibility and become accountable. The three will spend the middle months of the year in retrograde motion, with a chance to revisit the past. The Moon's return to your romantic sector from 4th July to 6th July will allow you to capture and get a read on Saturn's return, with romantically charged lunar vibes coming thick with romantic nostalgia. Meanwhile, while old doors have been open on the romantic front since April, having them open on the relationship front is a relatively new thing. It was on 23rd June that Neptune turned retrograde in your relationship sector, something that he does at this time every year since returning in 2012. However, this year Neptune is not on his own and while Mars left late last month the dwarf planet Ceres is here and will also turn retrograde on 7th July. With the Sun in your friendship sector until 22nd July and Mercury, the planet of communication in retrograde motion there until 12th July there is support for friendship and relationship building. The Moon's visit to your relationship sector from 9th July to 11th July will give you your first read of this new focus on the past.
The last few months have been dominated by not only having Venus in an adventurous part of your chart and Saturn in your romantic sector but by having both in retrograde motion. Venus was always going to bring the spirit of romance and adventure together but drawing on Saturn in your romantic sector and with both in retrograde motion, added to the strength behind a mix of romance, adventure and nostalgia. While Venus turned direct on 25th June, Saturn will remain in retrograde motion until he retrogrades back out of your romantic sector on 2nd July. By the time the Moon returns to your romantic sector from 6th July to 9th July Saturn will be gone and Venus will be back in direct motion. While a sense of romantic nostalgia will be gone, the spirit of romance and adventure will be just as strong if not stronger. This is the Moon's first visit since Venus turned direct in an adventurous part of your chart but it is not the last before she leaves, with the two coming together early next month to make the final months of a four month mission to bring the spirit of romance and adventure count. Yet in both her first full month in direct motion and her last full month in an adventurous part of your chart, Venus will be doing a good job on her own. Meanwhile, it is on the relationship front that there are brand new developments, thanks to Mars' return to your relationship sector on 28th June. Mars is still in his early days as we move into the new month but it is clear from the get go that he is in no hurry. The Moon will move through from 11th July to 14th July for what should be its only visit during a six week Mars visit. Except this is the first of several visits, with Mars not leaving until January 2021 and in the early weeks of his longest visit in 32 years. Fortunately, with the South Node in your communication sector until January 2022 there is communication support throughout that time.
Romantic and relationship matters share something in common in that they each have a slow outer planet that is watching over things for years. Dreamy Neptune has been in your romantic sector since 2012 and won't leave until 2026 while Uranus, a planet charged with keeping things real is in the first full year of a visit to your relationship sector that will also run through to 2026. This month romantic and relationship matters also reach a similar point in the journey that any year will take you on. It was in May that the Sun left your relationship sector, bringing the last of the faster planetary activity to a close, while Mars' departure from your romantic sector on 28th June has just brought romantic matters to the same point. With no faster planetary activity there isn't any urgency and it becomes more about the journey but there are some differences on the romantic and relationship fronts this month. Uranus is slowing down but won't turn retrograde in your relationship sector until next month, while Neptune turned retrograde in your romantic sector late last month. In addition the dwarf planet Ceres, who is making her first visit to your romantic sector since 2017, will also turn retrograde on 7th July. The Moon's visit to your romantic sector from 9th July to 11th July will be the first since both Ceres and Neptune turned retrograde, with these romantically charged lunar vibes capturing and amplifying the romantic nostalgia this is creating. Meanwhile, the Moon will make its monthly visit to your relationship sector from 14th July to 16th July and this is when there will be a chance to harness the communication support available. While you have Jupiter and Pluto not only in your communication sector but in retrograde motion and Saturn retrograding back in on 2nd July, they are all in the latter degrees, while Uranus is still in the early degrees of your relationship sector. That means they can't form a friendly aspect but the Moon can, creating a bridge and an opportunity to give your emotional responses, relationships, the past and unsaid words a voice.
On both the romantic and relationship fronts this is a point in the year when there is usually either no planetary activity or in the case of the latter, low key planetary activity. While the Sun left your romantic sector last month, as it does at that time every year Venus and Mercury are sometimes still here in the early part of the month but never for the whole of July. At the same time, because the faster planetary activity on the relationship front is concentrated around March and April, it is up to the dwarf planet Eris to keep things on track. Turning retrograde on 21st July, Eris is already preparing to move into hibernation, as she does at this time every year since her return in 1926. Yet while this should be a low key month for romantic and relationship matters it is anything but, with the love and relationship gods dialling things up instead of down. Thanks to a retrograde turn in May, instead of spending just 26 days in your relationship sector as she normally would Venus, the planet of love won't leave until August, spending the whole of July here. Venus only turned direct on 25th July and until Saturn retrogrades back out of your communication sector on 2nd July is still working with him to give your relationships, the past and unsaid words a voice. While Venus was always going to spend the whole of July in your relationship sector, with the Moon's return from 16th July to 19th July a chance for a deeper dive, the real game changer is on the romantic front. It was on 28th June, just 48 hours before the new month began that Mars not only returned to your romantic sector but to begin his longest visit in 32 years. Normally Mars will spend around six weeks fuelling your romantic passions and fighting spirit but instead, a retrograde turn will keep him here until January. With Mars spending the whole second half of the year in your romantic sector, this is by far the most romantically charged half of the year.
The spotlight will always be on your relationships at this time every year, with the Sun always spending the first three weeks of July in your relationship sector. As well as putting the solar spotlight on your relationships, since Pluto's return to Capricorn in 2008 this has also brought your personal and relationship needs into conflict, creating some relationship tension but in the process giving you a better sense of what you want from your relationships and what they need from you. However, as the lunar nodes only finished 18 months of policing a balance between your personal and relationship needs in May, this is something that shouldn't be a challenge. With Venus held back by a retrograde phase and not returning to your relationship sector until early next month and Mercury having turned retrograde before he could clash with Jupiter and Pluto in Capricorn, it won't be until the Sun's final days here that any balance issues will need to be addressed. Instead, it was Mercury's retrograde turn and until he turns direct on 12th July that allows the planet of communication to focus more on giving your relationships, the past and unsaid words a voice. However, the Moon's return to Capricorn and the lunar eclipse this will create on 5th July will be a temporary clash. With Mercury still in retrograde motion and as the planet of communication, he will be on hand to give your emotional responses, relationships, the past and unsaid words a voice. This is a fairly shallow partial eclipse and very different to the total solar eclipse in your relationship sector just hours after the Sun's return last month, offering an opportunity for new beginnings. A second New Moon on 21st July will be a chance to commit to your relationships, the future and the journey ahead during the Sun's last full day. However, with Mercury here until early next month and Venus returning three days later, the journey will continue.
Three months after returning for what should have been a 24 day visit to your romantic sector Venus, the planet of love is not only still here but won't leave until early next month. It was a retrograde turn in May that has kept Venus here so long but after six months holding the doors open to the past and second chances, she is back in direct motion and is looking to the future. Because Venus won't leave until 8th August and is still in her early days in direct motion at the start of the month there is little if any urgency. This will also draw out Venus' friendly aspect to the asteroid Juno in an adventurous part of your chart, from 12th July to 14th July. This is the third time that they have come together, each time strengthening the spirit of romance and adventure they have been working to promote since they came together in April. The Moon will make both its first visit to your romantic sector since Venus' direct turn late last month and the last before she leaves from 16th July to 19th July, with these romantically charged lunar vibes likely to create the first sign of urgency. Having Venus here for this long can breed complacency and as this will the last time that the Moon connects with the planet of love here, they will both be working to make it count. Meanwhile, the Sun's return to your relationship sector on 22nd July will bring the first real cosmic attention onto your relationships this year. There has been no planetary activity here since mid 2019 with just the Moon's monthly visit offering a chance to check in. The Moon will move through your relationship sector from 21st July to 23rd July so will be here when the Sun returns on 22nd July. This will ensure that you are emotionally engaged as the solar spotlight turns onto your relationships for the first time since August 2019. With Mercury returning next month and Venus in September, this is the start of the most important months of 2020 on the relationship front.
The solar spotlight will always fall on matters of the heart and all things romantic at this time of year, due to the fact that the Sun will always spend the first three weeks of July in your romantic sector. This year matters of the heart are being impacted by a Mercury and Venus retrograde phase, the latter before she has even returned. Held back by a retrograde phase Venus won't return to your romantic sector until 8th August, 17 days after the Sun leaves on 22nd July and three days after Mercury eventually leaves on 5th August. This will ensure that while the solar spotlight will shift off matters of the heart on 22nd July and this is often when all focus on romantic matters ends Venus, the planet of love will keep the romantic flame burning through to September. Meanwhile, Mercury's retrograde turn here last month means that instead of moving through in just 14 to 15 days, he will spend the whole month here. Mercury returned at the end of May to give your heart a voice and to put heart and mind on the same page and by the time he leaves early next month will have spent over two months here. Mercury turned retrograde just three days before the Sun returned and before an eclipsing New Moon brought at an opportunity for new beginnings. Until turning direct on 12th July, Mercury will hold the doors open to the past and second chances and after turning direct will keep the doors open and the seat warm until Venus returns next month. The Moon will return to your romantic sector from 19th July to 21st July but as well as coming full circle from last month's eclipsing New Moon will create a second New Moon on 21st July. Meanwhile, the Moon's return to your relationship sector from 23rd July to 25th July might just be a chance to check in but is the last visit before the Sun returns next month.
