Monthly Love Horoscopes - September 2018
There is a transition taking place this month, with the focus shifting off matters of the heart and onto your relationships. This is something that always happens at this time each year, but this year in a much more profound way. The Sun left your romantic sector on the 23rd August, as he does every year and will return to your relationship sector on the 23rd September, again as he does at this time every year. The difference is what the Sun has left behind on the romantic front and what he returns to find on the relationship front. What the Sun has left behind on the romantic front is 14 months of continuous planetary activity, a series of eclipses that run all the way back to August 2018 and what is now a near eternal romantic flame. Mercury, planet of communication is staying on until the 6th September, on a mission to give your heart a voice and to put heart and mind on the same page, before he too leaves. This ends the planetary activity on the romantic front, but something has begun that will continue to take on a life of its own. In the meantime, the Sun will return to your relationship sector on the 23rd September to find that incredibly, Mercury has managed to get there first. Just 16 days separate Mercury's departure from your romantic sector and return to your relationship sector, on hand to give your relationships a voice from the moment the Sun turns the solar spotlight onto your relationships. Both return to find Venus has been and gone, leaving behind a note that she'll return later in the year. Whether single, in a relationship or between relationships, you start this annual relationship review knowing what you want and need from your relationships.
This is always the point in any year when the solar spotlight will always be on matters of the heart and all things romantic, due to the fact that the Sun will always spend the first three weeks of September in your romantic sector. What you don't normally expect is planetary activity on the relationship front, but 'normal' flew out the window when serendipitous Uranus returned to your relationship sector in May. Having turned retrograde last month, Uranus is spending his first full month in retrograde motion here in eight decades, holding the doors open to the past and second chances. This is in conjunction with a huge amount of support from the communication gods. At one point last month, there were three planets in retrograde motion in your communication sector, all working to give your relationships, the past and unsaid words a voice. Mars turned direct there late last month and Saturn on the 6th September, but support between the communication and relationship gods will remain strong all month and beyond. There is however a need, in the first 10 days of the month, to push through any communication barriers. While the planetary activity on the communication and relationship fronts is literally in play for years now, there is more urgency on the romantic front. Ceres, in your romantic sector since June, will leave on the 6th September, the same day that Mercury returns, on a mission to give your heart a voice and to put heart and mind on the same page. Yet once Mercury leaves on the 22nd September and the Sun on the 23rd September, all romantic activity will end. It is a New Moon on the 10th September that is the rallying point, with a chance to commit to following your heart.
The Sun's return to your romantic sector on the 23rd September is something that happens at this time every year, always has and always will. No matter what, this is when the solar spotlight will always fall onto matters of the heart and all things romantic. Yet long before the Sun returns the love gods are already hard at work. You begin the month with Venus, planet of love not only in your romantic sector, but getting ready to leave. Yet before she leaves on the 9th September, Venus will be joined by her sister planet Ceres, who will keep the romantic flame fuelled until the planet of love returns for a double dip visit in November. Mercury will return to your romantic sector on the 22nd September, beginning his mission to give your heart a voice and to put heart and mind on the same page, just a day before the Sun returns. Because Venus will turn retrograde in October and return in early November for a double dip visit, she is able to leave things open when she leaves on the 9th September. Knowing she'll return to spend another five weeks here, Venus is happy to plant seeds that might not prove their real magic until November and into the early days of December. In the meantime Mercury, planet of communication has an important job to do, both in the early and later days of the month. Until leaving your communication sector on the 6th September, Mercury is on a mission to ensure the communication lines are open across the board. However, with your biggest relationship year in over a decade starting in early November, Mercury is staying behind to ensure that whether single, in a relationship or between relationships, you know how to keep the communication lines open. Meanwhile, Mercury's return to your romantic sector on the 22nd September, will be a chance to give your heart a voice.
Things get a little more serious on both the romantic and relationship fronts this month, though to start with it is your relationships that will demand your full attention. It was on the 13th August that Mars retrograded back into a rare double dip visit to your relationship sector, teaming up with Saturn and Pluto, also in retrograde motion. Mars only turned direct on the 28th August and until Saturn turns direct here on the 6th September, there will still be a lot of focus on the past. The 6th September is a significant day, for not only does Saturn turn direct just five days before Mars is due to leave, giving you the means and the passion to move forward Mercury, planet of communication returns to your communication sector on the same day. With the Sun in your communication sector until the 23rd September and Mercury until the 22nd September, both up to and after Mars leaves your relationship sector on the 11th September, there is a massive amount of support from the communication gods. There is not only the potential for a relationship turnaround, but a breakthrough. Meanwhile, while Jupiter turned direct in your romantic sector in July, he's been happy to wait while you focused on your relationships. However, Jupiter is not being altruistic or selfless, for there is a very good reason why he's patiently waiting. Jupiter has been waiting for Venus, planet of love, who finally returns to your romantic sector on the 9th September. This is the same day that Jupiter moves into his final two months and with Venus spending a rare two months, instead of her normal 24 days and even spending time in retrograde motion, this is when the planets of love and luck come together to kick off what has the potential to be the most romantically charged months of the year, if not the decade.
To start with, things have gone quiet on the relationship front and dearth in romantic activity continues. Yet this is at odds with the sense of both romantic and relationship confidence and anticipation you're likely to begin the month with. On the relationship front, this is understandable, for while Mars left your relationship sector last month, he promised he would return and will, on the 9th September. Mars has already spent three months here before retrograding back out last month, making a rare double dip visit just 29 days after leaving. Yet leaving when he did, Mars was able to move out of the way while the rest of your birthday month ran its course, taking away the pressure and relationship tension this had created until then. By the time Mars returns to your relationship sector on the 11th September it will be to find no more planetary activity in Leo and therefore there'll be no more oppositions and no more pressure on you and your relationships. Yet when Mars returns to spend another two months here, you begin this do over chapter knowing what you want from your relationships and what they need from you. The romantic confidence is harder to explain, for there has been no planetary activity in your romantic sector since Mars left in March. It was the Moon's return to your romantic sector late last month, that brought romantically charged lunar vibes into play that came with a strong sense of romantic confidence and anticipation already embedded. This will be amplified when the Moon returns again from the 20th September to the 23rd September. For by then, your luckiest year for love in over a decade will be just over six weeks away.
This is a big month for both romantic and relationship matters, though for different and similar reasons. The similarities are that you start the month with two planets in retrograde motion in your romantic sector and one planet in retrograde motion in your relationship sector. Ironically you'll end the month with one planet in retrograde motion in your romantic sector and two in retrograde motion in your relationship sector. Yet unlike romantic matters, where some and in fact the majority of the focus will shift to the future, on the relationship front it will remain on the past. You begin the month with Neptune, in retrograde motion in your relationship sector, but he will be joined by Chiron, planet of healing who retrogrades back in for a double dip visit from the 26th September. With Venus, planet of love and guardian of your relationships in your communication sector from the 9th September, she is on hand to give your relationships, the past and unsaid words a voice. If a Full Moon in your relationship sector late last month brought any old issues to a head, this month brings and opportunity to give this a voice. On the romantic front a major turnaround is taking place. It was last month that Mars made a rare double dip visit back to your romantic sector, retrograding back in three months after leaving. While Mars turned direct late last month and will leave again on the 11th September, he has returned to help you make the most of the doors open to the past and second chances. With Saturn turning direct here on the 6th September, Mars will be on hand, fuelling your romantic passions and fighting spirit as the tide continues to turn. Pluto won't turn direct here until the 1st October, maintaining at least some link to the past.
On the romantic front, something special is happening this month and it is all because of Mars, planet of passion and the warrior planet of the cosmos, who left your romantic sector last month. Just having Mars in retrograde motion in your romantic sector has been rare, but to retrograde back out means that when he turns direct, which he did last month, he'll have to return and start over again. Mars makes his return on the 11th September, returning to start over again, spending an additional two months fuelling your romantic passions and fighting spirit, on top of the three months he has already spent here. While Venus, planet of love will leave Libra on the 9th September, she too has a retrograde phase ahead and will return for another visit before Mars leaves. At a point in the year when there is rarely any romantic activity, Mars begins a massively important encore visit. With Mars not leaving your romantic sector until the 16th November and the Sun always returning in January, this gives matters of the heart and all things romantic the kind of boost that will dominate the rest of this year and then catch its second wind in the New Moon. On the relationship front, the reverse is happening with Chiron, planet of healing retrograding back out on the 26th September. Chiron only returned in April, with the planet of healing making his first visit in four decades. While it is rare for Mars to make a double dip visit to your romantic sector or any area of your chart, Chiron is an outer planet and that is what they do. Chiron will turn direct later in the year and will return in February, when he'll settle down and stay here until 2026. For now, this is more an introduction to the healing phase, which you're able to put on hold and then pick up again next year.
The month starts with a huge amount of nostalgia on both the romantic and relationship fronts and to a degree that will continue all month. Neptune, in retrograde motion in your romantic sector, won't turn direct until November while Uranus, in retrograde motion in your relationship sector, eventually retrogrades back out in November. Therefore, until November at least, the doors will remain open to the past and second chances across the income, work and career fronts. You also start the month with two planets still in retrograde motion in your communication sector, allowing you to give the past and unsaid words a voice. What makes the early part of the month even more nostalgic is the fact that Venus, planet of love is in a nostalgic part of your chart until the 9th September. Venus returns here once a year, taking your heart on a nostalgic trip down love's memory lane, in preparation for her return to Scorpio. While Venus has returned to find Neptune not only in your romantic sector, but in retrograde motion since 2012, this is the first time that Uranus has been in your relationship sector in eight decades, let alone in retrograde motion. This turns a nostalgic trip down love's memory lane into a real opportunity for second chances. Venus will leave and return to Scorpio on the 9th September and while Neptune and Uranus will remain in retrograde motion and the doors will remain open to the past and second chances on both fronts, a sense of romantic nostalgia will ease back. For returning to Scorpio Venus, planet of love will look to the future, or at least for now. Even here Venus will turn retrograde next month, lending her support to the doors open to the past and second chances on the romantic and relationship fronts. Until then, Venus brings a chance to also look to the future and attract something new.
Venus, planet of love begins the month in a social and serendipitous part of your chart and while that is not surprising, the fact that she's ready to leave by the 11th September makes this early in the year to experience this. So early in fact, that Venus will be forced into retrograde motion next month, something that will see her return here for a double dip visit in November. Knowing that she will return for a double dip visit puts a different context on Venus' final days here, for she doesn't have to conclude anything. Venus returns once a year to bring the laws of attraction and synchronicity into effect, setting the scene for fate to put you in the right place at the right time or for serendipitous moments and/or encounters. This could see Venus trigger coincidences early in the month, that aren't fully appreciated until months down the track. Venus will attract and trigger what she can now, but it allows you to also let things evolve over time. Venus will then move into a nostalgic part of your chart, where instead of spending 24 days, she will spend over two months. Venus returns to a nostalgic part of your chart, taking your heart on a nostalgic trip down love's memory lane once a year, usually in conjunction with the wind down of your old solar year. This is when how far Venus is running ahead of the Sun starts to catch up on her, with a 24 day nostalgic trip down love's memory lane turning into an over two month journey. Venus will turn retrograde here, adding even more romantic nostalgia. What will really have the planet excited, is that she not only returns to find two planets in your romantic sector, but in retrograde motion here. A Full Moon in your romantic sector on the 25th September will be rich with romantic nostalgia and ripe with the potential for second chances.
To have planetary activity in your romantic sector is not the norm and in retrograde motion is even rarer. Yet the concept of what is the norm flew out the window when Uranus, planet of surprise, synchronicity and the unexpected returned to your romantic sector in May. Uranus only turned retrograde last month and is spending his first full month in retrograde motion here in three decades. Fortunately, this is something you have a chance to adjust to. Uranus is known as the planet of surprise, synchronicity and the unexpected because he works through the laws of synchronicity. This means you don't have to over think things and the less you do the better. That whole sense of synchronicity will be enhanced by Venus' return to a social and serendipitous part of your chart on the 9th September. Venus returns once a year, bringing the laws of attraction and synchronicity into play, as only the planet of love can. With serendipitous Uranus in retrograde motion in your romantic sector, this is a treat Venus last experienced in 1941. The fact that they are on opposite sides of the sky and will move into opposition midmonth, will create just enough pressure to challenge old excuses. The Moon starts the month in your romantic sector, leaving on the 2nd September and then returning from the 27th September to the 30th September. This will see the month begin and end with romantically charged lunar vibes in play, along with a strong sense of romantic nostalgia. The Moon's monthly visit to your relationship sector will run from the 5th September to the 7th September and this could push some buttons. The Moon will return to find three planets in Capricorn and opposing all three, this could create some relationship tension. Yet support from communication forces turns this into an opportunity.
It is the early and later days of the month that have special conditions in play on the either the romantic or relationship fronts. This is partly because of the Moon and partly because of the planetary activity. The month begins with Mercury, planet of communication in his final days in your relationship sector, where he is not just bringing this year's planetary activity to a close, but 14 months of continuous planetary activity. The Sun left last month, but it was Mars' departure from Aquarius on the 13th August, that took the pressure off your relationships. The Sun has moved on and has taken the solar spotlight off your relationships, but Mercury is staying until the 6th September, continuing his mission to ensure the communication lines are open. This is something that Mercury is taking seriously, for having returned in early July for what should have been a 14 to 15 day visit, is running well into overtime. A retrograde phase has kept Mercury here and the timing couldn't have been better. For during the whole three months that Mars spent in Aquarius, oppositions with the planets in your relationship sector were commonplace. Yet by the time Mars returns to Aquarius on the 11th September Mercury will be gone and all planetary activity will have run its course. However, not before knowing what you want from your relationships and what they need from you and how to keep the communication lines are open. Yet communication support will remain, including from a Full Moon in your communication sector on the 25th September. Meanwhile, listen to the romantically charged lunar vibes in play from the 2nd September to the 5th September, for there are some surprise romantic developments later in the month.
The focus is always on your relationships at this time of year, due to the fact that the Sun will always spend the first three weeks of September in your relationship sector. This year the challenges are way down, while the support is way up, with none of the old triggers you're used to experiencing. Every year since Chiron, planet of healing's return to Pisces in 2010, no planet has been able to move through your relationship sector without moving into opposition. However, Chiron left in April, allowing Venus a trouble free passage as she moved through your relationship sector and for those planets still here. Ironically, Chiron will retrograde back into Pisces this month, but not until the 26th September. With Venus already gone from your relationship sector, Ceres leaving on the 6th September, Mercury here from the 6th September to the 22nd September and the Sun leaving on the 23rd September, they'll all be gone. Chiron literally returns three days after the last planet leaves your relationship sector. Chiron is back to finish off a period of personal healing that began in 2010, but leaving in February and then not returning for another five decades, you've missed a bullet. Even that would be enough, but this comes when there is extraordinary support from the communication gods. In particular from Uranus, spending his first full month in retrograde motion in your communication sector in eight decades and Juno, queen of commitment and especially commitment to your relationships, until she leaves on the 30th September. Even if this does push some old buttons or triggers, they're on hand to give the past and unsaid words a voice.
