Weekly Love Horoscopes (Updates on Monday) - 12 August 2019
Mercury's return to your romantic sector in the early hours of the week sets in motion six of the most exciting days of the year for matters of the heart and all things romantic. Mercury returns to find the Sun, Venus and Mars already here and this will put all the faster moving planets in the same place, at the same time for the first time since October 2017. Until Mars leaves over the weekend, the solar system is putting its combined weight behind matters of the heart and all things romantic. Right in the centre of this is an alignment between the Sun and Venus, with the planet of love passing behind the Sun and becoming lost in its fiery orb. The last time this happened in your romantic sector was four years ago, but it happens right at the heart of the most romantically charged six days of the year. The love gods are putting everything they have into this and are asking you to do the same.
First impressions suggest that as far as matters of the heart or anything romantic is concerned, this is no different than any other week, with nothing to see here. In fact, there has been no planetary activity on the romantic front since last September, with only the Moon's monthly visits to stave off a romantic drought. Yet by the end of the week that will change and any romantic drought will be officially over. It begins with Mars' return to your romantic sector over the weekend, where he will spend the next six weeks fuelling your romantic passions and fighting spirit. With the Sun and Venus, the planet of love returning next week and Mercury the week after, by the end of the month your romantic sector will have changed from the least to the most active part of your chart. This makes any work/life balance reminders from a Full Moon midweek a case of perfect timing.
From the moment you move into the new week, you will be hit by an auspicious coming together of forces on the communication and relationship fronts. By the time you move into the new week, Jupiter will be back in direct motion but only just, with the tides turning as the new week begins. This not only comes just as Mercury, the planet of communication returns to your communication sector but joins up with half the solar system here. Mercury's return will put the Sun, Venus, Mercury and Mars, all the faster moving planets, in the same place at the same time for the first time since October 2017. They are all together in your communication sector for just six days, with Mars leaving the group over the weekend. Yet for six days you have the most concentrated communication support in years and begins within hours of the tide turning on the relationship front. This has to be more than a coincidence.
Starting the week with the Moon in your relationship sector can be a challenge, especially as it has come full circle from last month's lunar eclipse. Yet, timing changes everything. The Moon has only just returned to your relationship sector, so will be here on Monday and Tuesday but it returned to find Mercury still in Cancer. It was the planetary activity in Cancer since May that has made these monthly visits so challenging, with the Moon unable to move through without moving into opposition. So to find Mercury still here looked like another case of 'here we go again', as your personal and relationship needs prepared to clash. However, Mercury's departure in the early hours of the week removes the fear of another clash. Instead, as the Moon brings up old emotional responses, as the planet of communication, Mercury leaves you with the means to give this a voice, without getting in the way.
There is something about the timing of this week's events that suggests some scheming between the love gods, especially when it comes to timing. As we move into the new week Jupiter, the largest and most powerful planet in the solar system is in the process of turning direct, coming out of four months of hibernation in your romantic sector. This will turn the lights green in almost every aspect of your life but especially on the romantic front. Yet Jupiter has chosen his timing to perfection, for you not only have Venus, the planet of love in her last full week in Leo but moving into a powerful alignment with the Sun. Venus has disappeared from the heavens and we won't see her again until she emerges from the Sun's glare as the evening star next month. Venus is passing directly behind the Sun this week and is taking all his power, just as the romantic tide turns.
Starting the week with the Moon in your romantic sector is always an advantage, especially as it comes with none of the challenges of recent months. Having come full circle from last month's lunar eclipse, which was a result of a clash between the Sun and Moon, there is a false alarm. Mercury is still on the other side of the sky but leaves before they can clash. It is while the Moon is moving through, that the Moon will not only align with Saturn and Pluto, in retrograde motion in your romantic sector but Uranus will turn retrograde in an adventurous part of your chart. With Venus, the planet of love in her last full week in a nostalgic part of your chart, this will see a mix of romance, adventure and nostalgia intensify dramatically. Yet while the doors will remain open to the past, Venus' return to Virgo next week will open new doors as well.
Eris, dwarf planet and warrior princess of the cosmos has literally been in your relationship sector for decades, so how she is faring at any particular point in the year is often the story of how your relationships are faring. Fortunately, Eris is having a very and I mean a very good week. While Eris has been under pressure from Pallas, as she moves into her final two weeks in Libra, this is more a timely reminder of a need for balance. Last week Eris found herself in a friendly aspect to Mars, now in his final days in your friendship sector. By Monday Juno, also in your friendship sector has moved into the same friendly aspect and by the weekend the Sun and Venus, the planet of love will repeat this again. Any one connection would have created a good week for friendship and relationship building but to have so many and especially with Jupiter turning direct in your communication sector, is stunning.
Sometimes the timing of an event is more significant than the event itself or it can be. However, what you have in the early hours of the week is both the event and the timing being just as auspicious. The event is Uranus' retrograde turn in your relationship sector on Monday, beginning a journey back into the past and across ground already covered, that will continue for the rest of the year. The timing is that you start the week with the Moon in your communication sector, so is there as the tide turns on the relationship front. The Moon is aligned with Saturn, already in retrograde motion in your communication sector as Uranus turns retrograde, cementing a sense of solidarity between the communication and relationship gods. The Moon will move on but the planets, connected briefly by the Moon, are here for the rest of the year. As a new stage in a relationship journey begins, there is built in support to give your relationships, the past and unsaid words a voice from the get go.
Just having Venus and Mars, the planets of love and passion in their final days in an adventurous part of your chart is bringing the spirit of romance and adventure together, in a passionate way. However, after Mars moved into a friendly aspect to Eris, in retrograde motion in your romantic sector last week there will be three more alignments this week. The first is between Juno, also in an adventurous part of your chart and Eris, with the Sun and Venus going on to form the same aspects by the weekend. This is creating a cocktail of nostalgia, romance, passion and adventure that will dominate the week, making Venus' job a lot easier. With Mars leaving an adventurous part of your chart over the weekend and Venus next week, while there isn't a sense of urgency as such, this is definitely something you can't afford to put a rain check on. It comes just as Jupiter's direct turn in Sagittarius is likely to bring a new lease of life and enthusiasm.
Uranus' retrograde turn in your romantic sector on Monday is a significant event but the real significance might not be felt until next week and beyond. The Moon is in Capricorn and at a friendly aspect to Uranus, as he opens the doors to the past and second chances and begins a nostalgic trip down love's memory lane, so there will be a sense of confidence and support. And with both planets in Capricorn already in retrograde motion, in particular, support when it comes to embracing the past. However, things will become a lot more exciting when Mars returns to an adventurous part of your chart over the weekend and even more so when Venus, the planet of love returns next week. With Uranus still in the early degrees of your romantic sector, as the planets begin returning to an adventurous part of your chart they will very quickly move into a friendly aspect. Expect a mix of nostalgia, romance, passion and adventure to become a lot more potent over the coming weeks.
Mercury's return to your relationship sector in the early hours of the week creates a situation not seen since October 2017, putting all the faster planets in the same place at the same time, for the first time since then. This is for a brief six day period, beginning with Mercury's return and ending with Mars' departure over the weekend. Yet for that time you will have the Sun shining the solar spotlight on your relationships while Mercury, Venus and Mars, the planets of communication, love and passion are here as well. The Sun and Venus will even align this week, giving the planet of love the power to get to the very heart of what you want from your relationships. With a lot of support from Eris in your communication sector, this is a stunning relationship week. A Full Moon in Aquarius midweek will challenge this, but is key to understanding what you want from your relationships and what they need from you.
Mercury's departure from your romantic sector either just before or as you move into the new week will bring all planetary activity to a close. However, thanks to the North Node this won't bring the focus on matters of the heart and all things romantic to a close. Mercury leaves you with heart and mind on the same page and a chance to get your head around what you want from love, after a parade of planets moved on. However, the North Node, the force behind last month's solar eclipse and more eclipses before it leaves in May 2020, will keep the momentum going. Just six days separate Mercury's departure from your romantic sector and Mars' return to your relationship sector over the weekend, opening the doors to the most important relationship months of the year. With the Sun and Venus, the planet of love returning next week, there is a chance to let romantic matters settle before the solar system puts its full weight behind your relationships.
